My name is Jennifer Andrews-Weckerly and I am the rector and pastor of Hickory Neck Episcopal Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. I started this blog as a place for personal theological reflection, but also a resource for me and my parish to use in our faith journey together. I also hope that this blog will be yet another way to introduce our parish to the larger Williamsburg community. I am always surprised at the ways that God uses everything for good.
The title of this blog grounds me in baptism. Whenever someone in the Episcopal Church is baptized, the entire congregation reaffirms their baptismal covenant. One of the questions in that covenant is “Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?” We respond, “I will, with God’s help.” This blog is one small way for me to regularly remember that covenantal promise.
Seeking and Serving 
Thanks for the opportunity to speak with you and your daughter yesterday. It was good to know how small the world actually is as we may have run into each other in Durham some years back.
We are making good progress regarding the readings, songs and prayers for my mom’s service. We have focused our attention on preparing a eulogy now.

I really enjoyed your sermon from Dec 2017 on John 1.6-8, 19-28. I hope you do not mind but I was so taken by it that I have used your ideas as a base for my own sermon this coming Sunday.
